Official text

(1) If the contractor or principal employer does not pay the wages to the contract labour employed by him, designated authority shall conduct or cause to conduct an inquiry and after giving an opportunity to be heard, to the contractor, shall pass an order to make payment, if any, of such wages from the amount deposited by the contractor as security deposit.

(2) The contractor shall re-furnish the security deposit within a period of fifteen days or else, his licence shall be liable to be suspended or cancelled.
