Rule 56. Leave Book under section 32 and section 33

Official text

(1) The employer or manager shall provide each employee with a book in Form-14 hereinafter called the “Leave Book” under the provisions of section 32.
(2) The leave book shall be the property of the worker and the Manager or his agent shall not demand it except to make entries of the dates of leave or interruption in service and shall not keep it for more than one week at a time. Workers shall submit the leave book when required by the manager within three days.
(3) If a worker loses his Leave book, the manager shall provide him with another copy on the payment of rupees ten, subject to the provisions of section 21 of the Code on Wages, 2019 (Act No. 29 of 2019) and shall complete it from his record.
