Official text

All drains carrying waste or sullage water shall be constructed in masonry or other impermeable materials and shall be regularly flushed, and the effluent shall be disposed of by connecting such drains with a suitable drainage line :

Provided that where there is no such drainage line, the effluent shall be deodorized and rendered innocuous and then disposed of in a suitable manner to the satisfaction of the Health Officer.
