Official text

(1) Where under proviso to sub-section (2) of section 55, it is not practicable to disburse payment in the mode specified in sub-section (2 ) of section 55, the payment shall be made strictly in the presence of authorized representative of principal employer with prior intimation to Inspector-cum-Facilitator electronically or otherwise up to a duration of maximum two months or till opening of their bank account, whichever is earlier.
(2) The contractor shall facilitate the workers to open their bank accounts.
(3) It will be the responsibility of the principal employer to ensure that no worker is paid, in contravention to the provisions of sub-rule (1), beyond the maximum time limit.
