Official text

(1) The State Government may at any time as it deems necessary, or if directed by the Central Government, conduct a study of Inter-State Migrant Workers from the State of Uttar Pradesh or to the State of Uttar Pradesh to promote safety, health and welfare of inter-state migrant workers.
(2) The manner of such study, composition of study team and other matters shall be such as may be decided by the State Government.
(3) Wherever required, the State Government may also consult expert organizations and different stakeholders involved in safety, health and welfare of the inter-state migrant workers.
