Rule 80. Suspension of Licence

Official text

Without prejudice to the provision contained in these rules the Chief Inspector-cum-Facilitator or the Joint Chief Inspector-cum-Facilitator may suspend the licence on an application from the occupier, for a factory holding a valid licence, in online mode as per Form- XXXI However, the full amount of licence fee is payable if the factory has worked even for a single day since expiry of the validity period of the existing licence:

Provided that the licence suspended under this rule, shall be renewed after revoking the suspension by the Chief Inspector-cum-Facilitator or the Joint Chief Inspector-cum-Facilitator on an application made by the licencee. Such application shall be submitted at least 15 days before re opening and shall be accompanied by the full amount of licence fee as applicable for grant of licence and 25% excess of the fee ordinarily payable.
