Rule 7. Particulars and form of Letter of appointment

Chapter III — Duties of Employer and EmployeeMade under The Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020No. B-11011/12/2026-LESDE, 12 Aug 2026

Official text

(1) The employer shall issue a letter of appointment to every employee on his appointment in the establishment, with such information and in such form as may be prescribed, and where an employee has not been issued such appointment letter on or before the commencement of these rules, he shall be issued such appointment letter within three months of such commencement. The letter of appointment shall include the particulars specified in Form–VII.

(2) The employer shall also ensure the systematic allotment of a distinct number or code for every employee and shall issue an identity card bearing such employee code andother necessary particulars within one month of his appointment.
