Rule 91. Construction and maintenance of drains

Official text

All drains carrying waste of sullage water shall be constructed in masonry or other impermeable materials and shall be regularly flushed and the effluent disposed of by connecting such drains with a suitable drainage line:
Provided that, where there is no such drainage line, the effluent shall be deodorised and rendered innocuous and then disposed of in a suitable manner to the satisfaction of the Health Officer.
