Rule 44. Forms, terms and conditions of license

(1) Every license granted shall be in Form-XVI.

(2) Every license granted or renewed is subject to the following conditions, namely:—

(a) The license shall be non-transferable, except in the case of the death of the contractor.

(b) The number of workers employed as contract labour by the contractor shall not, on any day, exceed the maximum number specified in the license;

(c) save as provided in these rules, the fees paid for the grant, or as the case may be, for renewal of the license shall be non-refundable;

(d) The rates of wages payable to the workers by the contractor shall not be less than the rates prescribed under the Code on Wages, 2019, and where the rates have been fixed by agreement, settlement or award, it shall not be less than the rates so fixed in the Code on Wages, 2019.
