Rule 69. Manner of suspending or cancelling the Licence of contractor

Whenever it comes to the knowledge of the designated authority that any contractor has not given intimation as required under sub-section (1) of section 50, it may start the proceeding to cancel or suspend the license within two days of such knowledge and the following procedure shall be followed for suspension or cancellation of license, namely:-(a) the designated authority shall issue a show cause notice to the contractor, electronically or otherwise, to explain his conduct;

(b) the contractor shall reply to the notice given under clause (a) within twenty-four hours from the time of receipt of such notice; and

(c) The designated authority shall examine such reply within the next thirty-six hours from the time of receipt of such reply and shall pass speaking orders.
