Rule 88. Form and manner for maintenance of records and registers and other particulars and details under clause (a) of Section 123

(1) In addition to the forms attached to these rules, the employer of every establishment employing employees shall prepare and maintain the records and registers required to be maintained under sub-section (a) of Section 123 of the Code, in accordance with the Code on Wages, 2019 and the rules made thereunder, and shall preserve them for a period of five years from the date of the last entry made therein.

(2) Every employer shall issue wage slips electronically or in physical form to employees in Form-IX as specified in the Uttar Pradesh Code on Wages Rules, 2026.

(3) The employer of every establishment in which women employees are employed, shall prepare and maintain register of women employees in Form–XXXVI electronically or otherwise and shall enter therein particulars of all women workers in the establishment and the same shall always be available for inspection under notified inspection scheme by the Inspector-cum-Facilitator.

(4) The employer of every building and other construction work and for whom the appropriate Government is State Government, to which the Chapter VIII of the Code applies, shall maintain a record of cess paid in respect of building and other construction work he has undertaken in Form-XXXVII(B).
