Rule 7. The work schedule normal for working day

(1) Under clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 13-
(i) In any establishment/factory/Government establishment, no employee shall be compelled or permitted to work for more than ten hours in one day and 48 hours in a week and no worker shall be required to work for contintous five hours until he is given rest for more than half hour:
Provided that in case of work of urgent nature, with the prior approval of inspector cum Facilitator, exemption in work hour or week rest may be given.
(ii) Any work exceeding ten hours or more in a day or more than 48 hours in any week shall be considered as an overtime and total number of overtime hours in three month duration shall not be more than one hundred forty four hours.
(2) In any establishment total number of hour of work in any shift including rest interval shall not be more than twelve hours.
(3) In case of employee employed in agriculture employment provision of subrule (1) and (2) shall be subject to such modifications as determined by State Government from time to time.
