Rule 58. Renewal of License

(1) The license of a factory shall be renewed by the Chief Inspector-cum-Facilitator, Deputy Inspector-cum-Facilitator or Inspector-cum-Facilitator, as the case may be, electronically or otherwise:
Provided that if the application for renewal of license is complete in all respect, the license may be granted automatically by the portal or otherwise but if at any time, the information given by occupier in application is found incorrect, the license automatically granted by the portal or otherwise may be revoked by the licensing authority and fee may be forfeited.
(2) Every application for renewal of the license shall be made on portal electronically or otherwise in Form - XXIX together with fee for a period of one year or any further period up to ten years and shall be submitted not less than thirty days before the date on which the license expires.
(3) The fees for renewal of license for one year shall be the same as for the grant thereof. In case an application for renewal has been made for a period of one year or any number of years up to ten years, the renewal fees shall be the number of years multiplied by the fees payable for renewal of license for one year, as specified in the table under Rule 56:
Provided that if the application for renewal is not received within the time specified in sub-rule (2), the license shall be renewed only on payment of a fee twenty-five per cent in excess of the fee ordinarily payable for the renewal of the license.
(4) The notice of occupation in Form - XXIX duly filled shall be sent electronically or otherwise by the occupier every year in case, the renewal is for more than one year on or before thirty-first day of December of every year to Inspector-cum-Facilitator of region.
(5) The application for the renewal of license of a factory shall be disposed off within 30 working days of the date of online or otherwise application received. If the application for the renewal of license is not disposed off within the said time limit, the license shall be deemed to have been renewed automatically.
