This notification was superseded by S.O. 5310(E) of 25 Sept 2026. S.O. 5310(E) replaces this notification and names districts of Gujarat instead. The same Madhya Pradesh districts were notified again a few days later.

MINISTRY OF LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT
NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 22nd September, 2026
S.O. 5206(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by the third proviso to First Schedule of the Code on Social Security, 2020 (36 of 2020), the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st day of October, 2026, as the date on and from which the contribution from the employers and employees of establishments in the entire areas of one non-implemented district namely, Niwari and in the entire areas of 24 partially implemented districts namely Agar Malwa, Alirajpur, Anuppur, Ashoknagar, Balaghat, Barwani, Betul, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Datia, Harda, Jhabua, Mandla, Narsinghpur, Panna, Rajgarh, Seoni, Sheopur, Shivpuri, Sidhi, Tikamgarh, Umaria, Vidisha and Dindori, in the State of Madhya Pradesh shall be payable under section 29 and any benefits under Chapter IV relating to the Employees State Insurance Corporation are provided by the Corporation to the employees of such establishments.
