NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 12th May, 2026

S.O. 2443(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (8) of section 56, of the Code on Social Security, 2020 (36 of 2020) read with clause (a) of sub-rule (12) of rule 33 of the Social Security (Central) Rules, 2026, the Central Government hereby appoints the officers mentioned in column (2) of the following Table to be the appellate authorities for the purposes of Chapter V to hear and dispose of the appeals filed under said sub-section for the area of jurisdiction specified against them in column (3) of the said Table in relation to all establishments for which the Central Government is the appropriate Government under clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 2 of the said Code, namely:-

All Deputy Chief Labour Commissioners (Central) in The State of Uttarakhand and civil Dehradun Region districts of Saharanpur, Bijnor, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahar, Bareilly, Muzaffarnagar, Moradabad, Jyotiba Phule Nagar (Amroha), Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Badaun, Rampur, Baghpat, Hapur, Shamli and Gautam Budh Nagar in the State of Uttar Pradesh and any new district formed out of above districts.

11. All Deputy Chief Labour Commissioners (Central) in The following districts of the State of Dhanbad Region Jharkhand- Dhanbad, Bokaro, Hazaribagh, Koderma, Ranchi, Lohardaga, Gumla, Simdega, Chatra, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Giridih, Deogarh, Saraikela (Kharsawan) and Jamtara, Khunti and Ramgarh, and any new district formed out of above districts.

12. All Deputy Chief Labour Commissioners (Central) in The States of Assam, Nagaland, Guwahati Region Meghalaya, Tripura, Manipur, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh.

13. All Deputy Chief Labour Commissioners (Central) in The States of Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad Region Telangana and the area of Yanam district in the Union Territory of Puducherry.

All Deputy Chief Labour Commissioners (Central) in The State of Maharashtra (except the Mumbai Region civil districts of Nagpur, Bhandara, Akola, Beed, Amaravati, Wardha, Buldhana, Jalgaon, Chandrapur, Nanded, Gaddchiroli, Parbhani, Latur, Yeotmal, Osmanabad, Hingoli, Gondia and Washim, and any new district formed out of above districts) and the State of Goa.

All Deputy Chief Labour Commissioners (Central) in The civil districts of Nagpur, Bhandara, Nagpur Region Akola, Amaravati, Wardha Buldhana, Jalgaon, Chandrapur, Beed, Nanded, Gaddchiroli, Parbhani, Latur, Yeotmal, Osmanabad, Gondia, Washim and Hingoli in the State of Maharashtra, and any new district formed out of above districts.

19. All Deputy Chief Labour Commissioners (Central) in Delhi National Capital Territory of Delhi. Region

20. All Deputy Chief Labour Commissioners (Central) in Patna The State of Bihar and the civil districts Region of Garhwa, Latehar, Sahibganj, Pakur, Dumka, Palamu and Godda in the State of Jharkhand, and any new district formed out of above districts.
