S.O. 2509(E). Notification regarding officer to impose penalty in case of CLC under the OSH and WC Code 2020

MINISTRY OF LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 13th May, 2026

S.O. 2509(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 111 of the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 (37 Of 2020), the Central Government hereby appoints the officers mentioned in column (2) of the table below to be the officers to impose penalty for the purpose of the Code within the local limits of their respective jurisdiction specified in column (3) of the Table below:

All Regional Labour Commissioners The State of Maharashtra except the districts of Nagpur, (Central) in Mumbai Region Bhandara, Akola, Amravati, Wardha, Buldhana, Jalgaon, Chandrapur, Beed, Gadchiroli, Nanded, Parbhani, Yavatmal, Osmanabad, Latur, Gondia, Washim and Hingoli and the State of Goa.

8. All Regional Labour Commissioners The State of West Bengal except the districts of Purba (Central) in Kolkata Region Bardhaman, Paschim Bardhaman, Birbhum, Bankura and Purulia, the State of Sikkim and the Union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

9. All Regional Labour Commissioners The State of Kerala and the Union territory of (Central) in Cochin Region Lakshadweep and the district of Mahe in the Union territory of Puducherry.

10. All Regional Labour Commissioners The States of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and (Central) in Chandigarh Region Union territories of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Chandigarh.

11. All Regional Labour Commissioners The State of Jharkhand excluding the districts of Pakur, (Central) in Dhanbad Region Latehar, Garhwa, Palamu, Sahibganj, Dumka and Godda.

12. All Regional Labour Commissioners The States of Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Tripura, (Central) in Guwahati Region Manipur, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh.

13. All Regional Labour Commissioners The States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and the (Central) in Hyderabad Region area of Yanam of the Union territory of Puducherry.
