S.O. 2452(E). Notification i.r.o. Sub section 1 of Section 45 of the Code on Wages, 2019

MINISTRY OF LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 12th May, 2026

S.O. 2452(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 45 of the Code on Wages, 2019 (29 of 2019), and in supersession of the notifications of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Labour and Employment S.O. No. 4225(E), 4226(E) dated 21.11.2019 and S.O. No. 3729(E) dated 17.10.2019, except as respect things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby appoints the officers mentioned in column (2) of the Table below to be the authorities (not below the rank of a Gazetted Officer), to hear and determine the claims arising under the provisions of the said Code, in respect of the employees employed in the establishments in relation to which the Central Government is the appropriate Government and situated within the jurisdictional area specified against them in column (3) of the said Table thereof, namely:-

8. All Regional Labour Commissioners The State of Tamil Nadu and the Union territory of Puducherry (except (Central) in Chennai Region Yanam and Mahe districts).

9. All Regional Labour Commissioners The State of Kerala and Union territory of Lakshadweep and Mahe (Central) in Cochin Region district in the Union territory of Puducherry.

10. All Regional Labour Commissioners The State of Uttarakhand and civil districts of Saharanpur, Bijnor, (Central) in Dehradun Region Meerut, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Bareilly, Muzaffarnagar, Moradabad, Jyotiba Phule Nagar (Amroha), Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badaun, Rampur, Baghpat, Hapur, Shamli and Gautam Buddha Nagar in the State of Uttar Pradesh.

11. All Regional Labour Commissioners The following districts of the State of Jharkhand- Dhanbad, Bokaro, (Central) in Dhanbad Region Hazaribagh, Koderma, Ranchi, Lohardaga, Gumla, Simdega, Chatra, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Giridih, Ramgarh, Khunti, Deogarh, Saraikela (Kharsawan) and Jamtara.

12. All Regional Labour Commissioners The States of Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Tripura, Manipur, (Central) in Guwahati Region Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh.

13. All Regional Labour Commissioners The States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and the area of Yanam (Central) in Hyderabad Region district in the Union territory of Puducherry.

14. All Regional Labour Commissioners The State of Madhya Pradesh. (Central) in Jabalpur Region

17. All Regional Labour Commissioners The State of Maharashtra (except the civil districts of Nagpur, (Central) in Mumbai Region Bhandara, Akola, Beed, Amaravati, Wardha, Buldhana, Jalgaon, Chandrapur, Nanded, Gadchiroli, Parbhani, Latur, Yeotmal, Dharashiv, Hingoli, Gondia and Washim) and the State of Goa.
