Rule 34. Examination of applicant

(1) On receiving an application of the nature referred to in section 93, the Competent Authority may examine the applicant on oath, or may send the application to any officer authorised by the State Government in this behalf and direct such officer to examine the applicant and his witness and forward the record thereof to the Competent Authority.

(2) The substance of any examination made under sub-rule (1) shall be recorded in the manner provided for the recording of evidence in section 97.
