Rule 51. Timely payment of wages

Where the employees are employed in an establishment through contractor, then, the company or firm or association or any other person who is the proprietor of the establishment shall pay to the contractor the amount payable in respect of the wages of employees in accordance with the provisions of the Code.

Explanation:– For the purpose of this Rule, the expression ―firm‖ shall have the meaning as assigned to it in the Indian Partnership Act, 1932 (Act no. 9 of 1932).
