Rule 31. Service of notice by employer for intended closure

(1) If an employer intends to close down an industrial establishment, he shall give notice within the time as specified in sub-section (1) of section 74 of such closure in Form –XIII to the State Government and a copy thereof to the concerned Deputy Commissioner of Labour, by e-mail or registered post or speed post.

(2) A copy of the notice referred to in sub-rule (1) shall also be sent to the registered Trade Unions or authorised representatives of workers, as the case may be, operating in the Industrial establishments.
