The Code on Social Security (Andhra Pradesh) Rules, 2026

Notification text (preamble)

Whereas, the draft of the Code on Social Security (Andhra Pradesh) Rules, 2026, as required under sub-section (1) of Section 158, the Code on Social Security, 2020 (Central Act No.36 of 2020), were published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette No.(630), dt.17.03.2026 inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby within a period of forty-five days from the date on which copies of the Gazette containing the said notification were made available to the public;

And whereas, the said draft preliminary notification were made available to the public on the 17th March, 2026;

And whereas, objections and suggestions received from persons and stakeholders have been duly considered by the State Government.

Now, therefore, In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 154 and 156 of the Code on Social Security, 202O (Central Act No.36 of 2O2O) and in supersession of the previous Rules made by the State Government viz., (1) Employees Compensation Act, 1923, (2) The Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 (3) Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 and (4) Unorganised Social Security Act, 2008, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the State Government hereby makes the following rules, namely,-
