Rule 23. Functions of Chairperson

The Chairperson shall-
(1) preside at the meetings of the Board:
Provided that in the absence of the Chairperson at any meeting, the members shall elect from amongst themselves by a majority of votes, a member who shall preside at such meeting;
(2) decide agenda of each meeting of the Board;
(3) where in the meeting of the Board, if any issue has to be decided by voting, conduct the voting and count or cause to be counted the secret voting in the meeting. and
(4) such other functions that the State Government may assign from time to time.
