The Code on Wages (Andhra Pradesh) Rules, 2026

Whereas, the draft of the Code on Wages (Andhra Pradesh) Rules, 2026 as required under section 67 of the Code on Wages, 2019 (Central Act No.29 of 2019), were published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette No.(625), dated: 13.03.2026 inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby within a period of Forty Five (45) days from the date on which copies of the Gazette containing the said notification were made available to be public;

And whereas, the said draft notification were made available to the public on the 13th March, 2026; And whereas, objections and suggestions received from persons and stakeholders have been duly considered by the State Government.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 67 of the Code on Wages,2019 (Central Act No.29 of 2019), and in supersession of the previous Rules made by the State Government viz., (1) The Payment of Wages Act,1936, i.e, The Andhra Pradesh Payment of Wages Rules, 1937 (2) The Minimum Wages Act,1948, i.e, The Andhra Pradesh Minimum Wages Rules,1960 except as respects of things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the State Government hereby makes the following rules, namely,-
