What welfare facilities must a workplace have?
- Separate washing facilities, separate bathing places and locker rooms, and first-aid boxes OSH s. 24(1).
- A canteen where one hundred or more workers, including contract labourers, are ordinarily employed OSH s. 24(1)(v).
- Rules may require shelters, rest rooms and a lunch room in a factory or mine with more than fifty workers, and an ambulance room in a factory, mine or building work with more than five hundred OSH s. 24(2)(i), (iii).
