Does a contractor need a licence?
- A covered contractor needs a licence before supplying or engaging contract labour s. 47(1).
- It is valid for five years, for the number of contract labour it states s. 48(3).
- Under the Central Rules, the security is a bank guarantee at ₹1,000 for each contract labour rule 90(1).
