How much compensation is paid for death or disablement at work?
- For death, it is fifty per cent of monthly wages multiplied by the relevant factor for the employee’s age, or the notified amount if that is more s. 76(1)(a).
- For permanent total disablement, it is sixty per cent of monthly wages multiplied by the relevant factor, or the notified amount if that is more s. 76(1)(b).
- It must be paid as soon as it falls due s. 77(1).
