The Mizoram Code on Wages Rules, 2026

Notification text (preamble)

No. B.14015/5/2019-LESDE, Aizawl, the 27th July, 2026: The Mizoram Code on Wages Rules, 2026 was pre-published as required under sub-section (1) of section 67 of the Code on Wages, 2019 (29 of 2019), in the Mizoram Gazette Extraordinary, Vol. LV, Issue No. 339, vide Notification No. B.14015/5/ 2019-LESDE, dated the 16th April, 2026, published on the 27th April, 2026, inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby within a period of forty-five days from the date on which copies of the Gazette containing the said notification were made available to the public on the 27th April, 2026.

Since no objections or suggestions were received from any person or stakeholder within the period specified, the Government of Mizoram, in pursuance of the decision of the Council of Ministers conveyed by the Political & Cabinet Department vide Memo No. J.11011/2/2026-POL, Dated 22.07.2026 and in exercise of the powers conferred by section 67 of the Code on Wages, 2019 (29 of 2019), read with section 24 of the General Clauses Act, 1897 (10 of 1897), and in supersession of the Mizoram Code on Wages Rules, 2022 except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, is pleased to make the following rules, namely:
