What must an employer provide for women on night shifts?
- Under the Central Rules, take the woman’s consent in writing and provide transport to pick her up and drop her at her residence rule 83(a), (c).
- Keep the workplace and the passage to toilets, washrooms and drinking water well lit, with suitable closed-circuit television on the way to those facilities rule 83(d).
- Display dedicated telephone numbers at the establishment and inside vehicles rule 83(f).
