Must my employer give me a yearly salary increase?

  • The Codes do not require a yearly increase. Minimum rates are reviewed ordinarily at intervals of not more than five years, and your pay cannot fall below them s. 8(4) s. 5.
  • Your contract, a settlement or an award may give you more. Withholding an increment for good cause is not treated as a deduction, where the conditions are met s. 18(1), Explanation.
