Are domestic workers and farm workers covered?
- The minimum wage applies to every employee, whatever the job CW s. 5.
- An employer of not more than five persons for agriculture or domestic purposes need not keep wage registers, notices or slips, but must show reasonable proof of payment when asked CW s. 50(4).
- A home-based or other wage worker in the unorganised sector can register for the welfare schemes SS s. 2(86) SS s. 113(1).
