What to do
Register the establishment electronically in Form I of the OSH Rules, the common registration form, on the Shram Suvidha Portal rule 5(1)(a) s. 3(1).
Who it applies to
Every establishment to which the Code on Social Security applies s. 3(1). An establishment already registered under another Central labour law does not need to register again s. 3(1), proviso.
When
When the establishment starts. The certificate of registration is issued in Form III of the OSH Rules within seven days of a complete application, or the establishment is deemed registered rule 5(1)(e).
How
The same Form I is used for registration under the OSH Rules rule 3(1).
Display a copy of the certificate of registration at conspicuous places in the premises where the work is carried out rule 5(9).
Update any change in the particulars within thirty days of the change, and quote the registration number on all documents and correspondence rule 5(5)–(6).
When the business is closing, you may apply online for cancellation; it is allowed only after all returns are furnished, all dues paid and a self-certification submitted, and the application is decided within ninety days rule 5(7)–(8).
