Report of a fatal accident or serious injury

What to do
Where any law requires notice to be given of an accident on your premises that results in death or serious bodily injury, also send a report giving the circumstances to the competent authority s. 73(1).
Who it applies to
Establishments to which the ESI Chapter does not apply s. 73(3) First Schedule.
When
Within seven days of the death or serious bodily injury s. 73(1).
How
A serious bodily injury includes the permanent loss of the use of, or permanent injury to, a limb, the permanent loss of or injury to sight or hearing, a fractured limb, or absence from work for more than twenty days s. 73(1), Explanation.
