Shelter, rest room and lunch room

What to do
Provide a sufficient and suitable lunch room, with drinking water and washing facilities, separately for male, female and transgender employees, lighted, ventilated and kept clean rule 56.
Who it applies to
Every factory and mine in which more than fifty workers are ordinarily employed s. 24(2)(iii), and every motor transport undertaking where employees must halt at night rule 56.

How
A canteen maintained under the canteen rule counts as compliance rule 56.
Motor transport workers are also given uniforms, raincoats and similar amenities free of charge rule 56, second proviso.
