What to do
Provide the welfare facilities of the OSH Code s. 23 s. 24 to the contract labour employed in your establishment s. 53. Where contract labour works at your premises, you provide the toilets, washrooms, drinking water, bathing facilities if required, changing room, first aid box, canteen and crèche; other facilities and entitlements are the contractor’s rule 86(1).
Who it applies to
Establishments in which fifty or more contract labour are employed, or were employed on any day of the preceding twelve months, through contract, and manpower supply contractors who have employed fifty or more contract labour on any such day s. 45(1).
