What to do
Keep all workplaces, passageways, storerooms and service rooms hygienic, keep the floors and walls of service rooms clean and, so far as possible, dry and non-slippery, and arrange the daily collection, storage, disposal or treatment of waste under effective supervision rule 42.

When
All the time rule 42.
How
As far as practicable, sweep and clean between work periods and in a way that does not raise dust rule 42(iv).
Where cleaning must be done during working hours, take precautions against contaminating the air with pesticides, insecticides, chemicals and toxic substances rule 42(v).
