What to do
Keep floor space from being crowded with machinery, materials or products in a way dangerous to employees, leave enough space around machines, and use signs in English or Hindi and the local language showing how many employees may work at a place at any one time rule 45.
Who it applies to
The employer of every factory, mine, building or other construction work, beedi and cigar premises, motor transport undertaking and dock work rule 45.
When

How
Keep vehicle and pedestrian pathways separated by barriers in distinctive colours rule 45.
The floor-space and machine-space requirements do not apply to building work or beedi and cigar work, and the machine-space one not to motor transport rule 45, proviso.
