Intimation of closing the establishment

What to do
Intimate the actual date of closing to the registering officer and to the Inspector-cum-Facilitator having jurisdiction, in Form II, with a certificate of payment of all dues and statutory returns to the workers rule 3(10) s. 3(5).
Who it applies to
Every employer of an establishment other than a mine rule 3(10). Under the OSH Code an establishment is a place in which ten or more workers are employed s. 2(1)(v).

When
Within thirty days of the closing of the establishment rule 3(10).
How
The information is shared automatically with the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation and the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation rule 3(10).
The registering officer cancels the registration in Form IV within sixty days; otherwise the cancellation is auto-generated rule 3(11).
