Notice of change in conditions of service

What to do
Before changing any worker’s conditions of service in a matter listed in the Third Schedule to the Code, give the workers likely to be affected notice of the change in Form IV, electronically, by speed post or in person, and upload it on the establishment’s designated portal, if any rule 19(1) s. 40.
Who it applies to
Every employer s. 40.
When
Do not make the change within twenty-one days of giving the notice s. 40.
How
Display the notice conspicuously on the notice board or electronic notice board at the main entrance rule 19(2).
Serve a copy on the secretary of each registered Trade Union, or of the negotiating union or council rule 19(2), proviso.
No notice is needed for a change made under a settlement or award, or under orders of the appropriate Government, among other exceptions s. 40, proviso.
