What to do
Keep all workplaces, workrooms, passageways, staircases, storerooms and service rooms sanitary and hygienic, keep walls, ceilings, windows and skylights clean, and arrange the daily collection, storage, disposal or treatment of waste under effective supervision rule 36.

The employer of every motor transport undertaking rule 36.
When

How
Keep the floor of every workroom clean and, so far as possible, dry and non-slippery rule 36(iii).
Where wet processes are carried on, keep effective drainage, provide false floors, platforms, mats or other dry standing places, and give anti-skid footwear and protective gear without expense to the employees rule 36(iv).
As far as practicable, sweep and clean between work periods and in a way that does not raise dust rule 36(vi).
Where cleaning must be done during working hours, use means and precautions that keep dust and other obnoxious substances out of the air rule 36(vii).
