What to do
Ensure that at least 5 rescue trained persons are readily available at the surface at any time and, where more than 500 persons are ordinarily employed, rescue trained persons on a scale of one for every 100 persons or part thereof rule 139(1)–(2).

How
Provide them suitable accommodation close to the rescue station, the rescue room or the mine entrance rule 139(3).
Provide a bell or other arrangement approved by the Inspector-cum-Facilitator to summon them immediately rule 139(4).
