Dust, gas and fumes: belowground mines

What to do
Minimise emissions of gas, fume, vapour or dust into the air at any workplace, and keep employees’ exposure to respirable dust, gas, fume or vapour as low as reasonably practicable and never above the limits harmful to health rule 28(i).

How
Do not let any employee enter a workplace or confined space until all practicable measures have been taken to remove noxious gas, fume, vapour or dust and bring their levels within the permissible limits rule 28(ii).
