What to do
Provide sufficient latrines and urinals at conveniently accessible places, separately for male, female, transgender and employees with disabilities: at least one latrine for every 25 male and 15 female employees, one each for employees with disabilities and transgender employees, and one urinal for every 15 males employed at the same time rule 47.
Who it applies to
The employer of every factory, mine, building or other construction work, industrial premise for manufacture of beedi and cigar, motor transport undertaking, dock work and plantation rule 47.
When

How
Provide sanitary napkins free of charge in women’s toilets, replenished daily, with bins with lids rule 47.
Display “For men only”, “For women only”, “For transgender persons only” or “For persons with disabilities only” outside each block, in Hindi or English and the local language rule 47.
Provide mobile toilets where required at building sites, plantations and docks rule 47, proviso.
