What to do
Maintain suitable atmospheric conditions in workplaces, with adequate ventilation to clear away smoke, fumes, steam and dust and to dilute inflammable or noxious gases, a temperature suited to the work and a comfortable degree of humidity rule 23.

The employer of every factory rule 23.
When
All the time rule 23.
How
Protect employees from extreme weather by changing working hours, or by giving protective clothes or other provisions free of charge rule 23(iii).
Provide mechanical ventilation where natural ventilation cannot give enough fresh air without uncomfortable draughts rule 23(iv).
Lay out any local heating apparatus so that combustion gases cannot enter the room rule 23(v).
Where the work generates very high temperatures, protect employees by insulating the equipment or by other suitable means rule 23(vii).
