What to do
Provide and maintain a crèche, free and accessible to all employees, for the use of children under the age of six years of employees, within or near the workplace, in the charge preferably of a woman rule 58.
Who it applies to
Establishments in which more than fifty workers are ordinarily employed s. 24(3), in every factory, mine, building or other construction work, industrial premise for manufacture of beedi and cigar, motor transport undertaking, dock work and plantation rule 58.

How
Keep the crèche clean and safe: police verification of staff, attendance of children on arrival and pick-up, closed-circuit television during working hours, emergency numbers displayed, and a feeding room rule 58.
A common crèche of the Government, a municipality, a private entity, an NGO or a group of establishments may be used rule 58, proviso.
