Notice of commencement and cessation

What to do
Submit a notice in Form VI to the registering officer and to the Inspector-cum-Facilitator having jurisdiction when the establishment commences or ceases operation rule 4(1).
Who it applies to
The employer of an establishment relating to contract labour or to building or other construction work rule 4(1).

When
Within thirty days of the commencement or cessation of operation rule 4(1).
How
With a notice of cessation, attach a certificate that all dues to the workers have been paid and the premises are free from storage of hazardous chemicals and substances rule 4(2).
A mine gives notice in Form VII instead, not less than thirty days in advance rule 4(2), proviso.
