What counts as continuous service for gratuity?
- Time off for sickness, an accident, leave, a lay-off, a strike or a lock-out does not break your continuous service s. 54(A).
- A year also counts if you actually worked at least 240 days in the twelve months, or 190 days if you work below ground in a mine or your workplace works fewer than six days a week s. 54(B).
