How do deductions for absence work?
- Your employer can deduct for absence from duty s. 18(2)(b).
- The cut cannot be a bigger share of your pay than the time you were absent s. 20(2).
- If ten or more employees stay away together without notice and without reasonable cause, the deduction may include up to eight days’ wages in place of notice s. 20(2), proviso.
